Available as Vriesea Brentwood
but probably Vriesea Brentwood Lemon
Unknown parentage.
This Australian plant is quite likely to actually be 'Brentwood Lemon'.
Please refer to Derek Butcher's notes for details of the mix-up of names, as the original 'Brentwood' had very dark leaves and maroon bracts. The Australian one has green leaves and yellow bracts. In 1984 there were plants sold as "Brentwood" (name of Nursery) but were actually 'Brentwood' x fenestralis and 'Brentwood' F2, neither were ever described or registered and one of these is likely to be the Australian plant.
