Tillandsia Ivory
schiedeana x ?
From BSI register... "Cultivar grown for many years in Brisbane, Australia region as a white flowered T. schiedeana but it appears to be a hybrid. The bottom part of the petals are purplish and a branched inflorescence suggests a hybrid with another Mexican species with purplish flowers on a branched spike, from which there are several to choose! After discussion it was decided to register it. The name chosen is based on the botanists' view that ivory is white with a yellow tinge. Mature rosette 30 cms. diameter x 20cms. high in spike. Reg. Doc.11/2011 by Peter Paroz."
