Tillandsia Christmas Flame
cv. ionantha (Mexico.)
Mature small upright rosette to 8cm. diameter x 13cm. high. Compact curving green leaves turning scarlet red with distinct white trichome tips. At blooming the central leaves are contrasting lime green. Wild-collected as T. ionantha by the late Gary Hammer at an unrecorded location in Mexico. Ionantha Group. Registered by P. Pacharapong, Pachara Orchids, Thailand.
