We haven't ever sold Neo 'Jack Smack' - it is not one of our neos.
There was an article by Bob Reilly about miniature neos in the Jan - Feb 2007 Bromeliaceae journal which included a brief description & photos of Jack Smack. He may be able to help you or perhaps Arnold James (Brisbane Brom Society) could help.
Hope this is of some assistance.
With kind regards, True Grant

I recently bought a Neo Jack Smack.
It had a label from True Grant, Wholesale Bromeliads of Australia, but apparently someone had just recycled their label.
They suggested you had written an article on mini's in Jan-Feb 2007 for Bromeliaceae.
Arnold James was also suggested, but I have no direct contact for him.
It appears to NOT be a registered plant, and I am hoping that you may be able to tell me more about it.
Regards, Ian Hook.

Hi Ian. The plant is briefly described in an article I wrote on mini neos in the Jan-Feb 2007 edition of Bromeliaceae. There is a photograph as well.
I obtained my plant from John Catlan on the Gold Coast—I think he has had it for many years. It has not been registered.
An electronic copy of the that journal can be accessed through the BSQ website — www.bromsqueensland.com
