xNeomea Santa Marta
From the BSI's Cultivar Registry... "A plant from F. Gruber allegedly collected in the Santa Marta Mountains in Colombia. There is suspicion that this plant really originated in a nursery in Colombia which is why it was called a bigeneric. However, it has not been examined in detail and could well be an Aechmea with no direct links to Neoregelia. There is a variegated form."
