Derek Butcher believes this plant is wrongly labelled as penduliflora in Australia and is actually weddelliana.
Derek's comments..."I know your plant is not F. elata! BUT they all look similar! Please check the edges of the leaves because I think they have small spines all along the edge. Not just at the base of the leaf. Check also for little spines on the bracts on the scape The scape is the bit between the base and where the flowers start. I think your plant is F. weddelliana which is why we don't have a F. penduliflora on fcbs!"
