Billbergia Breauteana
Wrongly listed this site as buchholtzii then Unknown 12. Common in Sydney but rarely named.

BCR says ... "(See 'Calophylla', 'Joliboisii', 'Rhedonensis', 'Cappei', 'Zebrina Cappeana', 'Oberthueri', 'Oon-Tah', 'Collevii', 'Herbaultii' & 'Wittmackiana' ) -Padilla said, "Broad 2' leaves are copiously banded in white - the large drooping panicle has bright red bracts w/very large flowers w/bright violet petals". Probably not in accurately named cultivation in the USA. (See also WitteHybrBrom5 1894 and Duval, The Bromeliads1990p133) - Duval and Chevalier differ on which is seed and pollen parent - See also 'Charles Webb'
E.Andre, <1884. vittata x pallescens"

Ed: Also note particularly the discussions on Detective Derek Notes. DD 11/13b: B. ‘Chas Webb’/‘Breauteana’
